Classroom Diaries

Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 August 2026

The service

Classroom Diaries is a native macOS application for recording language lessons, transcribing them on-device, extracting taught vocabulary, and publishing lesson entries to Google Docs that you own. It runs locally on your Mac and connects only to services you configure with your own accounts (the Anthropic API and Google Docs).

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for complying with the terms of your own Anthropic and Google accounts, and for any API costs incurred under your Anthropic API key.
  • If you record other people, you are responsible for obtaining any consent required in your jurisdiction, particularly when recording minors.
  • You are responsible for the content of the documents the app writes to on your behalf.

No warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the software, including loss of data. Keep backups of documents and data you care about.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; the current version is always available at this address.
